DJI’s Latest Portable Power Units Excel for Field Photography Work
DJI’s new drones are perfect for those who want to be able to work in the field with the confidence that they have enough power.
DJI Power Series is a pair of power cells that can be used to recharge drone batteries, compact cameras, or other electronic devices.
Both units are different models, with capacities and prices that differ.
When fully charged, the more powerful of the two, The DJI Power 1000 offers a capacity of 1,024Wh, which is enough to charge 59 digital cameras at once. The battery can charge a smartphone 57 times or a drone’s battery 12 times.
The DJI Power 1000 has a region-specific power output between 2000 and 2400W, as well as connectivity via dual 140W USB Type-C ports.
DJI Power 500 is a cheaper, but no less robust, alternative to this unit.
This cell has 512Wh capacity, and can deliver a maximum of 1000W through dual USB-C ports. It can charge devices about half as fast as its larger brother.
DJI promises that both devices will allow you to use them for a lot longer without spending a fortune on additional batteries.
The smaller of the two units will give you enough power to use your phone, camera, droid, or other device for several hours while away from civilization.
The units can also be used to charge devices connected at a high rate of speed.
