Review of the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art Lens
Are you wondering if the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art lens is right for you?
It can be difficult to know where to start if you are a Sony or Leica photographer who wants to learn macro photography.
Since years, I have relied on my telephoto lens to take close-up photos. But I’ve always admired those who could get up close and personal.
Sigma 70mm F/2.8 Art Lens and Sigma 105mm F/2.8 Art Lens were my two top choices. Both lenses have excellent reviews and are priced well. They were so similar that it was hard to decide which one to buy, especially since I had never bought a macro lens before.
The 70mm was cheaper. When I had the chance to test the Sigma 105mm Art Lens, I jumped at it. I wanted to find out which was better.
What I found out
Note: While I have been a photographer (and at times a professional) for over two decades, macro lenses are new to me. These are the first ones I’ve spent time with. I have a lot more to learn about using them.
