Review of the Insta360 Link Webcam

Below are the results of a month’s testing with Insta360 Link.

The Insta360 Link, as its name implies, is a webcam that can be swiveled almost 360 degrees, thanks to a 3-axis gimbal.

The tripod or computer screen can be connected with the included mounting clamp.

This webcam is distinguished from its competition by its larger sensor. The sensor of most simple webcams is between 1/6 inch and 1/3 inch.

This is not the case for the Link. This webcam is equipped with a 1/2-inch camera sensor. It captures more photons even in low light conditions to enhance the quality of your live video stream.

With the Link’s 4K resolution and excellent image quality, you can be sure to get a great picture.

The Insta360 Link comes with a number of features including dedicated software which allows you to choose between three different body or face tracking speeds.

You can even flip the webcam down to capture your hands using the keyboard in ‘Desk View Mode.’ Or, you can use ‘Overhead Mode.’ This does the same thing but at 90°.

Manually adjust brightness, contrast and other settings to achieve the best possible image quality.

The software is limited to the basics. It does not include advanced features such as overlays, filters or image adjustments.
