Adobe Offers Up to $7 Per Minute to Purchase User Videos for AI Training

The need for new content is increasing as the race to collect AI LLM training data amongst the major tech companies heats up.

Adobe has decided to purchase videos from users to train its AI platform.

reports from Bloomberg state that Adobe will not simply scrape digital content posted online by others, but instead, take a more ethical approach in accumulating training videos.

Bloomberg has seen documents that show “offering $120 to its network of artists and photographers to submit videos showing people walking, or expressing emotions such as joy and anger.” The company’s goal is to find assets for artificial-intelligence training.

Adobe will pay $2.60 for every minute of video. Bloomberg notes, however, that payments can reach as high as $7.25 a minute in certain cases.

Adobe will need specific video types for generative AI. These videos should include a lot of human interaction, emotion, and natural expression.

Adobe AI requires a lot of commercial videos, but despite Adobe’s huge library of 4K video that contains over 3,000,000 clips.

They are not ideal for training LLM AI to behave as naturally as possible.
